Testing Pro Active Chat
To test Pro Active Chat, be sure you have all browsers closed; ChatStat running; and, you are logged in. To begin the test, open a browser and go to your website. When you arrive, or within a few seconds afterward, your IP ADDRESS should appear within the site you are testing. See the illustration below for the exact location.
Creating An Account
If there are multiple sites being monitored by ChatStat,
the IP address will appear under the site the visitor is at.
On the web visitor side, a small window like the one to the right will appear. This is the “pop-up window” which a web visitor will see when you double click on that visitor’s IP address.
The web visitor will have the choice to either accept or decline the conversation. If the web visitor says "yes", a chat will open between you and the visitor. If a web visitor says “no thanks”, the chat will be declined and you will receive a message saying, “chat declined”.
Below is an illustration of what the pop-up window looks like in the actual web page itself using the ChatStat.com website as an example.
Note the Pop-Up Window will automatically move up and down on the page
to remain in view of the visitor until they accept or decline the request.
To complete the test, say "YES, LET'S CHAT", and then proceed to chat with yourself from the ChatStat operator window to the visitor window. If the visitor clicks on "NO THANKS", the box will not show until they move to another page (depending on your Auto Chat Settings). Responses and sent messages should be instant.
