Creating an Account
In order to create an account, you must install ChatStat on your computer first. You will be asked to create an account the first time ChatStat runs on your computer (top right picture). If you are unsure as to how to create an account or are having issues creating an account, please follow the steps on the Creating an Account page.
Logging in the First Time
Once you have created your account using Account Wizard, you will be taken to ChatStat's Login. The ChatStat email and ChatStat password are the email and password you provided when creating your account. After you have inserted your details, you will be able to access your account.
Remember Me - This setting means ChatStat will save your current email and password so you won't have to input it next time you start ChatStat.
Sign-In When ChatStat Starts - This setting means ChatStat will sign in for you automatically when you open ChatStat.
Don't forget to put the HTML SNIPPET on your website!
ChatStat requires you to place a small “snippet” of HTML on every page within your site, unless you use a Content Management System. Click here for more information on this. This may sound hard at first, but there are several very easy ways to do this. The first thing you need to do is get the HTML SNIPPET you need to place on your site. The HTML snippet is provided to you after you've completed creating your account (bottom right picture). Or, if you overlooked your HTML snippet, you can also get the required HTML SNIPPET you need to place in your website under Settings & Preferences > Site HTML Options > JavaScript HTML Snippet. This small snippet of HTML is what ChatStat uses to place the LIVE CHAT icon on your site. In addition, it also provides the ability to launch “Click to Talk”, track visitor statistics, and perform site monitoring.
